How to Change Proxy Settings.

Certain rogue infections may change your settings in Internet Explorer to use what is known as a Proxy server.  This is done to block you from browsing or accessing any web sites and therefore not be able to download the proper tools to remove the rogue.

If you find you are unable to browse any websites please follow the directions below to correct the problem.

1. Open Internet Explorer.  Click on “Tools” and then choose “Internet Options”

2. Choose the “Connections” tab and then “Lan Settings”

3. Clear the box next to “Use a proxy server for your LAN”.  Make sure the box next to “Automatically Detect Settings” is checked.

4. The final settings should look like the picture below.  Click “OK”
